  • Northrop Grumman Careers

    Redondo Beach, CA; Linthicum, Maryland; Herndon, VA

    The Northrop Grumman HIP program encourages and advances the pursuit of technical degrees by providing hands-on experiences and improving access to postsecondary education. The program provides high school seniors with school credit and on-the-job experience (not available at all locations). You'll be on site for approximately 8 weeks during the summer learning about Northrop Grumman and gaining real world work experience

  • U.S. Department of Education

    Cambridge, Chicago, Mountain View, New York and Seattle

    The Department of Education (ED) offers internships for students interested in seeking valuable work experience in government and federal education policy and administration. Volunteers have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to the Department's mission to promote student achievement and preparation for global competitiveness by fostering educational excellence and ensuring equal access. ED offers internships in the fall, winter/spring, and summer. Typically interns are with the Department for eight to ten weeks.

    For the Fall internship, the deadline is JULY 15. For Winter/Spring, the deadline is OCTOBER 1. For Summer, the deadline is MARCH 15.

  • U.S. Office of Personal Management

    Cambridge, Chicago, Mountain View, New York and Seattle

    This Program is designed to provide students enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions, from high school to graduate level, with opportunities to work in agencies and explore Federal careers while still in school and while getting paid for the work performed. Students who successfully complete the program may be eligible for conversion to a permanent job in the civil service.

    OPM has a wide variety of internship programs and each one has it's own submission deadline.

  • Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program

    Cambridge, Chicago, Mountain View, New York and Seattle

    This program is designed to encourage students to pursue science and engineering careers; SEAP places academically talented high school students with interest and ability in science and mathematics as apprentices in Department of Navy (DoN) laboratories for eight weeks during the summer. These students work with scientists and engineers who act as mentors. The program offers students a unique and positive experience in their fields of interest, thus encouraging them to pursue careers in science and engineering.

  • Office of Science and Technology Policy

    Cambridge, Chicago, Mountain View, New York and Seattle

    Serving as an OSTP Intern provides a unique opportunity to work closely with senior White House officials and science and technology (S&T) policy analysts in OSTP's topic-based divisions (Division internship), or on OSTP's legal team (Legal internship). Applicants are encouraged to apply for one of three terms (Fall, Spring, or Summer), each term lasting no more than 90 days.

    The OSTP deadlines depend on your interest, whether you want a Policy Internship or Legal Internship.

  • U.S. Department of Energy Summer Internships

    Cambridge, Chicago, Mountain View, New York and Seattle

    This program at Fermilab is a highly competitive, paid, six-week summer internship opportunity for ILLINOIS high school sophomores and juniors with demonstrated aptitude and strong interest in physics, mathematics, computer science and engineering. The program's goals are to encourage high school students to undertake college study and pursue careers in S.T.E.M. disciplines.
